So, as some of you may know, I started a new job back in August. This made it hard to find time to blog and knit, and when the two conflicted, knitting won. I also got a Ravelry invite, which gave me a lot of other knitting-related-but-not-knitting stuff to do.
I also figured out that I'm not good at starting things on blogs. I rarely stop and think, "Oh, I have something to say!" I've been looking at some of my old (and less old) Socknitters posts, and a lot of the ones I'm really happy to have written were posted in response to a question, or to something else someone else said. I'm not much of a blog reader overall, so a lot of the interesting things I see to reply to are on the Socknitters list or the Knitlist, and (surprise surprise) that's where I respond.
So I think what I'm going to do from here on is try to post a couple of the older messages I'm especially happy with as blog posts. Those of you who also read what I write on mailing lists can consider this a double dose, for free. I also want to start blogging about some of my current projects. (Which means I need to get off my @$$ and take pictures of them, I know, which means I need to sign up for a flickr account so that I can put up pictures on Ravelry, I know, I am just a lazy bum.)
Also, as noted, I do better when I've got something to respond to or someone to disagree with -- please, feel free to comment! It's also nice to get feedback that shows me that someone is interested in hearing about my progress reports.
